The only thing you have to watch with eDonkey is the amount of viruses going about in it!
You need to make sure your firewalls are on and Norton AutoProtect helps as well |

I use Emule, that's the best filesharing program i think. Emule uses the donkeyservers like edonkey.
It's not much viruses on the donkey servers! It's RARE that i get a virus warning.
I'm sharing over 200 apps and games on the servers. Many huge p800 packs to.

I know this is off topic but does anyone know if it is possible to disable uploads in any eDonkey client?
My ISP limits my upstream to 1,8gig per month and when you use eDonkey you reach that limit in less than 2 days...
Any help would be appreciated...

if u switch to emule (same network) you can restrict the uplink bandwidth - this will save you from being capped...

Once you start download a file, you automaticly start to share the file you are downloading.
You could turn down the speed for uploading, but your download will go slower then. |

xlt10 is right... Moving your downloaded files to another folder wont help...
Sure if you only download small files, that's not such a problem but if you start downloading iso's, the minute you have x amount of the file on your pc, you start sharing those mbytes... And there's no way of stopping that... |
