I have got quite a few small scratches on the screen because of the stylus. Where I've played Solitaire there are loads of tiny diagonal scratches...

I am hoping that the screen protector would dull these a bit, and also make me feel more comfortable about removing the flip.

I recently got the Brando screen protector. It works great. Nice feel to it, easy to write on and not all to bad glare protection.
I would highly recommend.

Also, I did notice that the stylus does leave hair-line scratches on the screen. Not very noticable if you do not look at it from a certain angle.

But, for such an expensive phone/computer, I think the 9 pounds / $12 is definately worth it! It would cost much, much more to replace the screen.

I personally use it with the screen cover on, so it is still a very good and mandatory investment!

I ordered a both a brando and a overlay plus (to decide for myself wich I liked best...) from p800er.com last monday.
Saturday I ended up fighting the eternal fight against alcohol, and of course I managed to scratch up the display of my dear p800

Anybody know if it's possible to change just the upper part of the screen? Or does the whole lcd thingy have to be changed?

Wish I'd opted for the quickest shipping option :/

The upper part? How do you mean?

You mean above the flip?

The whole screen is one and the same thing, have to replace the whole thing

I was thinking about the upper layer of the screen. If you look closely, it seems to me as if there is a thin film that lays over the screen (as Vermania says). It is best visible if you get a reflection on the screen - if you push it with the stylus, you see the reflction gets distorted. Is it possible to change just this layer, og is it stuck to the lcd? And if it IS - why the F**K is it? Couldn't they just have eliminated the need for a screenprotector if it was rather cheap end easy to replace? In think it would be a good idea - but of course my opinion is a bit subjective because of the fact that mine is scratched
