I couldn't find any good program for viewing maps/large pictures on P800, and after some experimenting, found the following method to be the best:

1. Find or scan a good map and convert it to JPG (I am using JPG 2000x1358 - Quality 3/12 in Photoshop).

2. Create MAP.HTM file pointing to JPG image (e.g.: file:///d:/Media%20files/other/Maps/slovenia.jpg)

3. Using file manager (e.g. Epocware), create a folder "Maps" in the folder D:/Media Files/Other on your memory card (drive D:) and

4. Copy HTM and JPG files to this folder

5. In the Standard browser create a bookmark pointing to the html file e.g.: file:///d:/Media%20files/other/Maps/slovenia.htm

After opening the map push BLUE button to enter Full-Screen Mode (Leave the Full-Screen Mode by pushing the button again).

The reason I am using a HTML file is because this way the image opens faster (if you open JPG directly in standard browser - it first creates a temporary html file, which takes a couple of seconds).

I recomend using Standard Browser due to its Full Screen capability.

I created a sample map of Slovenia with instructions. You can get it here: http://www2.arnes.si/~ljlutgled7/P800-Map-SI.zip

Do you know if there is a map application for the P800 that uses a GPS? I know there is a bluetooth gps out there, but Im not sure if there is any software out there for the p800
Go Away or I will replace you with a very small shell script.

I don't think it's a map application - but it's a start!
