Just in case anyone wants to know, I now have GPRS working over Bluetooth with my m505. It seems a bit slower to me than over IR, but at least i can leave the phone in my pocket! |

Cool, I've thought about getting one of those bluetooth cards, do you recommend it? |

I worked in Cambridge for a couple of months at Marshall Aerospace, not sure what area the airport is but wouldn't go back, I'm used to working for airlines, when the maintenance facility is third party it's just not right, they don't want to spend money on the aircraft, very dodgy. |

I have been told that BT is faster than IR.
So do you really think it's slower? |

Kafka,
I wonder if you can help me. I note that you've got a Bluetooth SD card for your palm. I'm trying to configure the WAP browser that comes with the BT SD card to make a direct connection to the phone and use the GPRS to Wap-browse. I have followed your settings in the Technical forum and I can get a GPRS connection but the Wap browser on the Palm needs some settings configured (such as Gateway, Cache, Netpanel and Mode settings). It would be great if you had set all this up already and could let me know what the settings are. I am using a Palm 505, a Ericsson T39m and Vodafone UK (with the Tariff 1 GPRS service) as my service provider.
Cheers
Regards

Yes, I'd recommend it, just for the mobility

It's definitely slower than IR, does anyone know the technical reason why this is?

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the WAP browser, because after I installed it I had no space left, so I took it off again. I use Handspring Blazer 2.0 to browse the web on my m505, so I decided to leave WAP browsing to my t68. |
