P800 Stopped connecting to PC |

When I got my P800, I installed the PC suite (1.0.1) and everything worked perfectly, allowing me to sync, transfer files and such. However, after a couple of days, it stopped recognising the P800, but the phone connection link said it was connected. The "My P800" folder just says "Not Connected". Since then I have installed the latest PC suite software (1.5.1 or something), but it makes no difference. I run AVG virus scan, but I doubt that's the problem. I also downloaded Marketscore, which was daft I know, and tried to remove its data miners with Ad-Aware. I think most are removed, but the P800 still won't connect. It's the only cause I can think of. I'm running XP Home.
Update: I fixed it. Used Marketscore site to remove the vile piece of Spyware. I warn everyone off it.

I to have this problem Sony Ericcson cant help - Sony (PC) cant help - Orange cant help ARRRGH any other solutions out there? |

Try this:
Uninstall the PC Suite software.
Disconnect the USB cable from the cradle.
Reinstall the software.
Reboot.
Connect the phone cradle USB cable.
Do NOT have the phone connected until AFTER you have reinstalled the software and rebooted the PC.

Make sure that your P800 is set to listen to the USB cradle and PC Suite software.
Check Control Panel -> Connections -> Cable.
Cable Status MUST be set to PC Connect for P800 to work with PC Suite S/W.
