When I switch my phone on I get the boring Orange startup screen, same when I close it down, is there anyway to change this?

If so where can I get hold of files for this?

They were stored in c:/sysdata, called startup.mp4 and shutdown.mp4, but since upgrading mine to R2D i don't even have that directory. Also i think backups were stored in c:/system/data, i can't check coz i deleted mine ages ago (if u delete them u just get the builtin SE startup/shutdown clips). As far as i know u should just be able to rename a different mp4 to startup and put it in the right directory if you want a different clip altogether, but don't quote me on it

So if I delete the startup and shutdown mp4 items in this directory, I will get the standard SE ones instead. Just want to make sure before I go deleting things and causing a problem.

woah...

be careful... Deleting them is fine, you will get the SE ones as he said, but dont go changing them, not unless you know exactly what your doing or you could trash your phone.

Do a search, this has been mentioned a load of times.

Any new ones replaced MUST NOT HAVE ANY SOUND FILE or your phone will refuse to boot and this can only be repaired by a software flash.
