Voice Recording |

When I start a voice recording and end it, there is a silly sound that is played at start and at end. I can only disable it by turning the sound on the phone off. That's not practical. With P800 Explorer (on my phone) I have seen two files in the Z Drive (in the System / Apps Folder) called "startrecording.wav" and "stoprecording.wav". I can't delete these. I have a desktop version of P800 File Manager but that only seems to show the C and D Drives and not the A and Z Drives.
Anyone have any suggestions about the sounds? I want sound permanently off when starting and stopping a new recording. Cheers. |

You can't delete anything on A: and Z: since they are ROM (read only memory) drives. So Sman wont help you delete the files.
You can create a folder in c:Systemapps called voice and add your own startrecording.wav and stoprecording.wav files there (with those exact names which are in z:systemappsvoice unless you don't already have the folder voice in c:Systemapps which I had. If you have it, then just put the startrecording.wav and stoprecording.wav files there.

Hey, that sounds great. Did try it out though (and re-tried it just to make sure) but the default files in the Z Drive are still paid when a new voice note is started and ended. Did what Lordmike suggest work for anyone? Interested to know if perhaps I'm not doing something right although I have re-tried a number of times. Cheers. |
