Watch that could function as a bluetooth headset... |

Here's a thought - What about a watch that could function as a bluetooth headset? Here's what I'm thinking - people are already coming out with bluetooth watches that connect to the internet through a phone to do god knows what. What if you could also embed a microphone and speaker into the watch/watchband somehow. Then you could carry the phone around in your pocket/backpack/briefcase/purse, and when a call came in instead of digging around for your phone or even your bluetooth earpiece (I hate digging into my pockets, let alone backpack to grab my phone), you could just check your watch to see who was calling and the accept the call from there.
I like the idea of a bluetooth headset, but don't want to have the thing sitting in my ear all day. I realize the watch wouldn't help you if you wanted to keep your hands totally free while talking, but that woudn't be the point. This would be an ease of use product, obviously not a necessity. And ergonmics would be key (something more elegant than just talking at your watch). But I think, done appropriately, this would have a huge "Bond" factor, especially if the microphone and speaker extended from the watch/watch band. |

Sounds cool.
Retractable wire with mono headset/mic from the watch? Hmm... maybe it would break too easily.
How about putting you watch to your ear, and the speaker/mike is in the watch?

Too much SAR around us...
Actually that sounds possible, actually NTT DOCOMO has developed a watch phone at the beginning of this year, but that one could be taken of easily for talking on the phone, not having a earpiece or holding your wrist next to your ear or whatever. If we are bothered to have a bluetooth watch that could used as a headpiece, why don't we just get a watch phone?

Well for a start i dont see them making a watch sized phone that could have all the features of my p800 or even your T610 for that matter.

Wait...
Isn't the point of a hands-free, wire-free headset so you can keep your..um... hands free? So why would you want to hold a wristwatch to your ear while you're driving? Might as well be a cell phone handset.
