SE T68ie bugs??? |

Greetings all!
I've been using an SE T68ie for a couple of months now and I noticed some problems recently (happened about thrice). I had the firmware updated to R7A (at SE at SM North Cyberzone, Q.C. Philippines) and my phone would sometimes cease to read the phonebook (screen shows "please wait" and stays that way). Other memory-related operations are also disabled, i.e. the phone would hang when I try to delete pictures, use the 'delete all' feature for SMS, or reset to original settings/master reset. It's as if the phone's memory were read-only for these functions.
One workaround I do is I delete SMSes one by one. Sometimes, the phone would hang again while deleting a message. I just remove and reinsert the batt and turn the phone on. Then I try to delete the message again and it would work this time.
I'm worried if this might be a motherboard-related problem. Has anyone else experienced this with R7A0013? I guess it would be time for me to update to R8a (and request for the bahasa language pack, so I wouldn't have the font inconsistency anymore).
Thanks! Hope to get more info on this.
Angelo

i'm not encountering those things w/ mine though upgrading to R7A made it reset most of the time, especially when there's no signal. Font inconsistencies is also my problem. Hmmm would like to upgrade R8 but would service ctr allow us to use the euro or bahasa language pack? I've heard that semicon doest.

I also encounter resets sometimes. The phone will, out of the blue, ask for the pin. Maybe i should just make away with the pin so i make sure i don't miss any calls / sms. At any rate i got news from someone who had his phone updated at se here that he specifically requested that he wanted the t68ie update without chinese. The language pack used (bahasa afaik) didn't manifest font inconsistency. Will try to have my phone updated sometime soon, but definitely not with semicon because they don't update ...
