hahaha, was going to post the same topic!!! yeah and i really wish ericsson could improve their technology system!!!! and let us upgrade our phones by ourselves!!!

Yes, I own both a T39 and a S45 and the installation of the new software is very smooth and easy!!

A spokesman of Siemens told me once they didn't like do-it-yourself-upgrading because even if you make it foolproof there are always customers who manage to screw up. Not us offcourse.

But for us, the smarter people, it's great!

Yeah it's just such a good idea, you can do it for lots of other things too, Iomega let you do it for their drives too, come on sort it out!!

Yes, I agree that it would be much easier...
I liked that about my SL45, you could download the languages you wanted, delete the owns you didn't want and you always had them on the disc or online... So you couldn't really f*ck up...

In the past i was update the Nokia firmwares.
But it was unoficial!Thats good for the Siemens!I hope in the future SE and Nokia do the same!

It's does not say anything about upgrading the Firmware on the SL45!!!!!

Just wondering, i heard that Siemens charge for this upgrade!

I have upgraded the siemen SL45 firmware myself to SL45i with the latest version. but can i checked with u guys about this, i have a t68 but the side button(view profile button) on the left site has broken. can i get the spare from the ESC ? how much does it cost ? kindly assist!
