Hi all members I have been visiting this forum and would like to thank all of you for all the effort and info that all of you have contributed. Today I went to the Sony Ericsson Web and find that T68m and T68i would have different spec hence wrote in to ask for a replacement. The message is as follow.
"After looking through the web I felt cheated. I don't think this is the way Ericsson should do business. Before I bought my T68m, I called up ericsson to ask whether there will be a software upgrade to MMS, picture phone book and the reply was positive. But now it seems like these features are included in the T68i instead. With a new casing and its another phone. I would demand Ericsson to explain this. And if its true I would not buy any of ericsson's product. I think a replacement for the T68m users to T68i is necessary because all of us are cheated. I would post this message to the forum www.esato.com which is dedicated to all ericsson phone user that Ericsson is a cheat"
Please support and write in to Ericsson. To make sure they have either give us a replacement or a software upgrade. |

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! I'm going crazy!!! has already confirmed about giving the software update to us, so what's the problem???? Don't you think you should maybe ask Laffen's permission, before you start using Esato's name on you letter????

Yeah, we should wait first. If we did'nt the get the MMS Software as promised, we should demand Ericsson to replace our t68m to t68i. Because as we all know, T68m is MMS capable. We should get the same software as t68i. This is only my idea.

According to some service-points the new mms-software should be out next week,..at the same time as T68i goes on sale.
So why worry about it now,..wait up. Things might work out faster than you think
And no, Esato's name should not be used, unless permission is given.

Although the action was taken a bit hastily, I still admire the initiative he took instead of what most of up have done; nothing but whining. The problem here is that we won't get the upgrade until at least when Ericsson start to sell T68i.

I wonder whats taking to release the MMS FW so long.. the FW itself isnt that complicated, all these functions/features are already available anywhere, and im sure programers can come up with it in a day or so, even if testing is taken into consideration, it wouldnt take several months! |

Wait?! Once you wait until everything is settle, Ericsson is not going to do anything. We should give them pressure to make sure they keep their promise. Who dare to stand up and say that he is dead sure Ericsson will give the upgrade, we never get confirmation from Ericsson (published paper). All the information we got are from here and there and worse so many version. I might over react but come on won't you be disappointed if by the end of the day you got nothing.
I would like to apologise for using Esato's name but I am just trying to make sure Ericsson see for themselves that there is a group of people out here who means business. So Please support!!! |

I think that such letter should make Ericsson publish something about the sw on their site.Aren't they tired of getting so many mails? This is the result I was waiting for.Not a replacement, but something official. Not even at CEBIT the guys seen to have an answer and this makes me furious, remember how little info they provided for a new phone(t68i)?I don't expect them to perform better on a sw release...Even if i hope they do under some pressure...
