Hello!

Anyone got any experience with how having the voice control activated affects the battery life?
Any difference between normal and magic word?

Cheers!

@parakoos,

the manual specifically states that using the magic word will drain your battery.

I don't use the magic word, in the handset mode, I just press the jogdial (towards the phone, inwards) for 2 seconds then say the name (pre-recorded) of the one I wish to call. In headset mode, i press the button in the mic component.

The magic word, if used, will just take away the press the button or jogdial part.

But for those people who don't use the flip, then to get to use voice command you need to activate the Virtual Flip then hold down the jogdial. Magic Word is useful for people who make a lot of calls (& don't use the flip) But it definitely drains the battery. [addsig]

Hi.

I can activate voice dialing through the phone application with my flip off, without the virtual flip. Neat. Then again, i'm fumblin through the phone tryin to operate it with the flip off without the stylus..
