u guyz asking about miniGPS ,

miniGPS is an excellent program for the p800
it's not intented to be a global positioning system
but it makes use of the Cell of the GSM network

the use of this program is to name the cells and add events to them
, futhermore you name the cell at home and the cell at work , and you add the follow (example) events , when you are at home , set the phone sounds on , and when you are at work , set the phone to be silent
and the phone automaticallly when u r at home it sets sounds on
and when u go at work it automatically sets sounds off

thats is just not all it can do . you can set the phone to send an sms
someone (your girlfriend for example) . so when you are at home an sms message is automatilly sent to that person stating that you are home.

miniGPS ruled over the 7650 users .

Okay, so how do you set it up to go into silent mode when you entere your work cell and turn off silent mode when you leave it?

Also, does miniGPS start automatically?

i have it on my 3650 and find it useful when going downtown. i go early in the morning with the train and pass lots of towers. i set it so that when i get to the site that's at the station or before the station i need to get off at, it alarms me and wakes me up; so i can sleep on the train. its very nice. and i'm lucky to have one of the stations that are above groud, all the underground ones get no signal in chicago.

I have used miniGPS and have stored a variety of cells on my journeys in London.
But I have noticed, it is not very accurate. For instance, in my friends place in docklands, the reception is really crap 15%-31%. his place really aint that big and I was amazed to have stored 9 cells under his name!

I know Orange do some sort of entertainment locator service, where by u go on their site using ur phone, and they will tell u whats goin on in the area u r currently in or summin. I think it works out ur location by locating the area that u r accessing the GPRS, or so Im sure I read somewhere.

Im presuming miniGPS doesnt use this method of locating.

Does any1 think that the GPRS locator thing could be integrated in2 a program or is the location only know to Orange and the disclosure of this information regarding the GPRS signal be contravening to any Data Protection/Privacy Acts?

Hi everybody.
I was wondering if the GPS information is extendable to received calls.
Any ideas on how to identify the location of incoming calls?
that would be great!!
