I'm from Basque country and I'm going to buy an English Sim card to spend two motnhs in England. I've thougth about Virgin; it's the cheapest I've seen, but I don't know if its signal is rigth, neither if international calls are expensive. Can somebody explain this to me? Thanks.

Sorry for my unknowlodgement, but I've understood that if I receive a call from a BT fixed line it costs to me xx p/min. It's only receiving calls from the British Telekom?? It's not fair, isn't it?
At the end of the page are the tariffs.

Virgin is a 'virtual network' - it doesn't have its own transmitters. Instead it uses spare capacity on the T-Mobile network. [addsig]

whatever: No it does NOT cost you to receive calls. I use Virgin when I'm in the UK and I must say they're very good in value, reception and customer care!

virgin is the nuts !! as an employee though this may be a little biased remark

for the peep who said the net covergae is worst, well you can say that but by saying it you are in fact saying that T-Mobiles network is the worst in UK and i imgine if u posted that as topic you would find much backlash etc *just my 2 cents*

virgin is no doubt cheapest PAYG (less o2's bolt ons n text bundles) and of course now sms from virgin to vrigin phones is only 3p

if the peep(or anyone) wants to know any detailed info bout Virgin Mobile then PM/email me and ill be happy to answer queries

as for coverage when abroad well weve upgraded our 'circuitry' recently and so theres certainly no issues of old now and in fact in rceent issue of mobile review weve been nominated as the best along with orange (contract) for mobile phone roaming
