P800 Internet via Bluetooth: Local host??? |

Can anyone help me?
When connecting to the internet via Bluetooth on your P800, what is the address of your local PC?? Is it still http://localhost or is there a specific address that has to be typed in??
I need to know this as I want to connect to a local web page running on my machine when I connect with Bluetooth.
I'm sure that I saw a message on this forum a while ago detailing the specific local address, but I can't find it again.
Any info is appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

No local host needed.... just make sure that you have P800 PC Suite installed on the PC that's connected to the internet. Make sure also that your SE Phone connection link shows that your P800 is connected. Now open your browser (internal or Opera) and you will see that your P800 is accessing the internet via your PC's connection |

Thanks for that - but I've already got that part working!
I can connect to the internet via bluetooth using the PC Suite serial port connection. That internet part is working fine.
I just need to know what address to use for a web page on my local machine. If I was on my PC and I wanted to look at this page, i'd open the URL http://localhost:80
However, when connecting via Bluetooth and the Serial port on the P800, I believe that the localhost name is different....

For Bluetooth connection, only Opera will work.
As long as you created a link, which is your P800 file manager that comes with your CDs is able to browse your phone and your memory or able to install software to your phone.
There is nothing else to set, just open your Opera, then you will be able to surf.
It even works with 176.13.xx, 192.168.x.x, or 10.x.x.x computer's IP. |
