Hey Guys n` Girls!
Does anyone have any GPS software suitable for P800, that they would like to share with me? In my oppinion, it`s like the only thing P800 really lacks when its sold from stores! Thanks a lot!

Assuming that there is a serial port on the bottom of the phone (which I think there is) there is no reason why a GPS receiver cannot be plugged in and the P800 decode the NMEA data strings.

Does anyone know if the carkit gives access to the serial port? If it does it would be great because I can just plug my TrakM8 into it.

A bluetooth GPS just came out but I don't think there is a software for the P800 yet. I've seen it for Pocket PC though

So far only PsiLoc's miniGPS has appeared: http://www.psiloc.com/?id=prod&nrp=53

It's not at all intuitive or really useful, to be honest, but given that each cell has a GPS-synched clock, and location information, theoretically a phone can scan the radio waves and find 3 or 4 cells in the area and triangulate between them. If that happens we'd have as-good-as positioning as GPS.

All this does is records which cells you've logged into and can have alarms when you login to them. PsiLoc didn't have a lot of imagination when they released this.
