I'm becoming increasingly dissapointed with the brightness of my P800 screen, its so dull! anyone else feeling like this or has mine got a problem? (and yes I am using the backlight!)

I totaly agree with you. I hope someone makes a program so that we can adjust it.

errr, correct me if i;m wrong, but isn't the screen hardware not sorftware? so that'd mean that a program couldn't be made??

You could adjust the contrast and the lightnig. this would affect the brightness.

I suppose it depends on whether or not the lamp brightness is controllable by software and then whether or not the necessary hardware exists in the phone. Given the extra cost of the hardware to make the lamp brightness adjustable, I would be suprised if it were present in the P800. Contrast settings are probably the best bet.

Ive got 2 P800s and theres a difference in the brightness between them and l had 1 replaced and it had a different brightness too!!!

If you set the display light to "on" instead of "auto"
the light will become weaker after a short while...

Maybe it is possible to turn it brighter to...

Although I have to say it has the brightest light I've seen on a phone. I can use it as a torch!

Yes i agree. Is it really necessary to have 2 P800s? I can't even afford one! Somebody give poor spikey a P800 please! And i don't even care if its gota dull screen (just to keep to da topic heheh) :-D:-D
