Hi! SE released R8A! But we expected it with Java/mophun engine! Where's no Java Manager in the phone as i see! Should we wait for it anymore? Will these rumours come true? How many people must vote at www.petitiononline.com/8520/ to make SE enable Java/mophun in t68i?

It won't happen why would se give away the java upgrade compared to selling t610 though the t68 proberly needs more memory for java

Are you surely know or you suppose that SE won't give it away? Java isn't the one difference of t610 from t68i!

People have been screaming for java almost sine the t68i first hit the shelves. It is absolutely guaranteed that SE will not implement java in this phone.

If you really want java or mophun you can get a t300 or t310 or t610 or p800. I'm off to get a petition for bluetooth in a t300 going;-)

Petitions won't help.

SonyEricsson are a business, they aren't going to give out Java for an old phone, they want you to buy a new phone.

How many people think they can get something for nothing?!

T68 can take java or mophun which takes less memory, there are lot of phones with less memory than t68 and have java, the problem here is purely Marketing,SE actually is not releasing any java upgrade because it would parazite the t310 and t610 sales, perhaps java will be available for t68 when they will be sure that it's in its dying time so it will not affect at all the sales of other phones, comprende?

Java will never be available for the t68i.

SE is a business. They are out there to make money.

They are not going to add major new features to an old phone. However nice it would be, it is not going to happen.

They treat their users good and give us firmware upgrades easy and for free but they are not going to shoot themselves in the foot.

Why would a company that is out there to make money give out java for free? It's technology that they can use to sell new phones. It's not going to be put on their old phones.

Sorry for getting stressed but I can't understand people who think they would.

It's not going to happen.

Calm down! you say for free,it's for free ONLY if you are under warrenty that means 1 year, other people have to pay 15 $ for a simple update and 25$ for a "i" upgrade, when the phone is in it's dying time a very small amount of people would have warrenty,so people interested in java will pay about 25$,java is not hard to implement too.
SE will gain some $$$ from this operation which will NOT AFFECT new phones, each $ count for a business. And i am not confirming that java will be available for t68 at 100%,i am just supposing
