in the numeric part of the keyboard, make the special character sign (a vertical line from top to bottom : |) then draw a pound sign with a single horizontal line through it.
good luck. |

In the numeric segment, draw a line from the bottom up, then a capital L and finally a line crossing it.

check out help function -> handwriting recognition -> scroll down, there you will find all symbols like the POUND sign you're looking for. |

But can anyone write an underscore? Been trying for ages with no success Help on the phone seems to indicate it is written with 4 dashes but that gives me an extra-long dash. :S |

Zaphod,
To do an underscore draw a single line upwards (for symbol mode) and then a line from left to right followed by a dot to the right of the line.
Like this : First | then _.

While we are at this.. is there a way to write a lower case 'L' and a space immediately afterwards? I always end up writing a 'T' instead

Yes, you can write the lower case l and then write the space directly under it. |

Can anyone tell me how I can delete a full word at one stroke? The only way I've managed to delete is one letter at a time?!?!?!
Cheers

the easiest way i've found to do it is to use the virtual keyboard, u can select the whole word on there then delete close the keyboard and u can start writing again, tried highlighting words whilst just writing but it always just deletes a letter |

Thanks to epscilon for the cool trick! The "L" followed by space problem had bugged me for a long while already and I find it irritating that I always have to pause when I write any word that ends with "L" such as "will".
To perform highlighting in jot, tap on the position to start the highlighting and pause for a short while (without lifting the stylus of course), before starting the highlight.
