Hey!

I downloaded the London underground map in PDF and tried to view it in my P800. It works, but it's sooooo slow since there is so much to draw.

Does anyone have a very much simplified PDF of the London underground? Or any other solution?

Cheers!

I did a bit of cropping and resizing of a jpg I had of the london underground which I have on my phone. The resolution is a bit of a problem though. I have one of very central london that is readable, 4 that are a quarter each of a bigger area and one single on of the bigger area that you can't read but can see the tube lines. There nothing special, I haven't bothered making them perfect or anything but you're welcome to them if you like. Let me know if you want me to mail them to you. I use full screen pictures or new picture app on R2D to look at them wide screen - works ok but would be nice if there was a good picture viewer app that you could look full screen and pan/zoon/etc.

why dont u do a little chopping for the big underground map, and make it into pieces and do it into zones, as in Zone 1 and 2 together, then 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, or u can try doing 2 each.... try that man!!!

When I was there a few weeks ago I took one of their standard .jpg's and viewed it in opera, which can display high-resolution images if you have enough free memory.

can any of the internal viewers be used with a map?

JPEG, PDF both are virtually unreadable, when it comes to text.

Any ideas?

The best program for this (and other undergrounds around the world) is from www.visualit.co.uk.

They currently only support Pocket PC and Palm but I sent them an email a few weeks ago and they are working on a Symbian version which should be out "soon".
