Please forgive me if someone has posted this before, I did search the forums, but I could'nt see a solution to this anywhere. I remember seeing that people where having problems putting in apostrophies in to words using T9.
I have found that if you want the word "That's" with T9 turned on, all you have to do is type this.
8,4,2,8,#,00000,7
I hope this helps speed things up a little.

the problem really is, we need the phone to automatically pick up that a apostrophe is needed. Not to have to manually scroll through the punctuation to find it.

While we're on the suject, does anyone push the joystick up/down to scroll through the possible text outcomes? just as an alternative?

I don't use the joystick to scroll through the possible choices, sometimes I'll use the volume control but never the joystick. Also I find it faster typing messages if you turn off t9 and input it normally but what you can do is if you want an 'a' you press 2 obviously! but if you want a 'b' you hold the volume control up and press '2' instead of pressing '2' twice and if you want 'c' you hold the volume control down and press '2' instead of pressing it 3 times. (Note if you want s hold the volume control down and press 7 release the volume and press 7 again)

I heard that T66 got a nokia software, maybe this is why it can choose the apostrophe automatically...

I use the joystick a lot.. I find that I can sms faster However problem is that T9 slows down after like 3 lines of text on small font..

But compared to my old Motorola.. the T68 is plenty fast
