To make it clear for some people!
API - I have no idea of real name.
So it is now out!
It is a plug for the camera, so a programmer can write software for it! I find many people thinking that they can download this thing and then install it in your phone! That wont work!
A simple way!
It is LIKE a driver!(its not!) but its almost the same as it holds the settings for the cam! What wire does what! what happens when i send this var! etc....
They say it has no video recording feature so it will never be able to record! I dont believe this because if it is possible to see a moving picture on your screen when taking a photo then it is possible to record this, just like screen capture! but a movie one!
however i just want to clear up about the API. So dont wase your time downloading it and installing it! |

The CAM API would, theoretically allow someone to write a Video App, assuming the flash memory write rate is fast enough...!

API means Application Program Interface.
It's a set of function specifications so programmers can call them to access the camera features.
