New P800 Problems |

I just received my P800 last Friday.. The default language on the phone was UK English, so I added the USA English language .sis file from the SE website and set the phone to USA English as the default language.
Problem is, any applications I install only prompt to use UK English as the default language and not US. It would be fine, except I will use a lot of 'US' characters/symbols and it's very inconvenient.
SE wants me to send the phone in for repair, which will take a few weeks.
Does anyone have any suggestions or have any experience with this before?
Thanks, |

Just stick with UK English, It is all English and you will not pretty much not notice the difference. |

Have you done a hard reset of the phone? I had a similar situation, and it was fixed after a hard reset, where I removed the battery while the phone was turned on. |

Yeah, there's not that much of a difference... = ) |

Yes, hard-reset the phone with no success..
SE will just put the latest US English firmware on the phone (unless there's something else).
I know there's not much of a difference, but after spending $650 US I want all of the convenience that I paid for...
I just don't want to give up the phone for 2 weeks (my only one).
