wann 'see' you email passwords? With P800, no problem! |

P800 seems to store all email access related data in a very simple way - it stores everything in a more or less readable format, accessible to everybody who knows where to find the information - and this includes .... passwords!
Go to c:\system\mail - there you will see a strange folder structure and a list of files. Have a look into those files (e.g. by using Tracker: "File""More""View as Text File"; or by transferring the files to your PC and viewing them by e.g. Notepad).
In some of those files, you will recognise your email account settings, and you will be surprised to see your password - well visible/readible/availbale for anyone.
In these times and especially with the currently available technologies, I really have problems to understand why SE do not invest a bit more effort to encrypt this info - amazing !!!

i think its down to the OS as you can do the same thing on the Nokia 7650 and 3650, so would be down to symbiam not SE | |
