Why can't u send sms when u select the SMS access to GPRS. Is it not possible to send trough GPRS?

cause the lame ass providers wont let us because it practically makes sms free...

I use sms via gprs,..works fine for me

But that probably wont last forever

yeah jan.. but only 1 out of 3 gprs capable providers in denmark support that... so i guess you're lucky!

Gprs doesn't make sms free. It doesn't matter if you use gprs as a bearer for sms, sms will still go through smsc. And smsc handles all sms's as single charged items, so the price is exactly the same whether do use gprs as a bearer or not.

not in denmark as the providers cant figure out how to charge gprs sms' correctly yet

What is the difference then if it's the same price? Does it get there any faster? I mean regular sms is pretty fast, I don't really see the point....

it sends it in 1/4 of a second vs 1-2 seconds with ordinary gsm sms...

That's true. My operator allowed it and billed the usual price. But suddenly now they do not allow it any more, not telling why. Wonder why.
