Hi All,
I'm sure this is a no-brainer for all the Windows experts out there, but I wanted to post my experience here since I searched online a lot and didn't find any answers.
I found a good price on a DCU-11 cable. However, my computer at work (where I want to sync and stuff) runs WindowsNT. It has USB ports but I had been told that they were not supported by the NT OS. I e-mailed Sony support to see what they would say, and they told me that yes, the DCU-11 cable would work with NT. So I bought it. And guess what? It doesn't work with NT. It says right on the CD case (inside the box) that USB will not work with NT.
However, I e-mailed the support guys again in case they know something I don't, and they INSISTED it would work and were starting to sound quite condescending about it. I ended up calling live support on the phone where they confirmed for me that it would not work. I am a little angry at the e-mail support people for being so unhelpful, misleading, condescending, and causing me to buy this cable that I can't really use. Grrr.
Anyway, thought I would write this down in case it helps anyone else...
