When I had my SE P800 I noticed that there was a program who made it possible to use my p800 as a remote control for my TV ++.
I have now sold my p800 and bought a SE t610, so I wonder. Are there any program for my t610 similar to the one I had on my p800.

Love my t610

Best Regards,
Audun

I think I've read that in current firmwares there isn't any method for Java programs to communicate via IR. I know that the MiniGolf game can talk via BT or IR so obviously a program written in Mophun would be the best bet.

However, I believe the IR is pretty low powered so you'd need to be quite close to the TV for the signal to reach, in which case you might as well press the buttons yourself!

Saying that, there is a system called Indigo Home Automation that works in conjunction with Salling Clicker and Apple Mac's that lets you control virtually anything from your T68i or T610.

"Remotely control any appliance or light, even your hot tub, from your mobile phone. Control lights, fans, appliances, sprinkler systems, etc., by using a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and Salling Clicker."

I used to have the Blokia 7650 that had an amazin ir remote program that ran thru Java had every single brand u cud imagine. an you cud set up 10 diff units; DVD, tv, stereo, video etc as shortcuts. enabling you too store all your diff units on there. if they can do this for blokia surely we can hav one for the T610.

The t68i n t610 both have short-ranged IR's. I wish it could!

Those remote control are using Consumer IR (CIR) which is longer range but slower speed than Irda. Irda is designed for usage with short distance and higher speed.

I'd love to see TV manufacturers start to use BlueTooth as well as IrDA for remotes !

SE's java implemention is incredibly limited. No IR, no BT, no anything except http connections on port 80. Period. So unless SE adds a version of java that doesn't suck, you're not going to see it doing anything with IR. Mophun allows access to all this stuff but it's licensing makes it a pain in the ass to develop for also. The emulator obviously has no IR or BT and you need Mophun's personal blessing to test on your own phone. One sucks, the other blows...don't hold your breath waiting for an app that, in the end, may not be technically possible anyway.

I've found some blokia software, but it's probably wrote in symbian. Here is the URL: http://tinyurl.com/kyzw.
File probably is here http://tinyurl.com/kz0d - maybe cracked or something
Good luck! We're counting on YOU

also the range of the t610 ir is about 30 cm... so.... may aswell just extend the arm and press the button on the tv. otherwise a remote control would be great.

Maybe is possible to give more power to IR led with software commands... But not on current java implementation.
