I bought a T610 that is locked to Vodafone. I'll try to unlock it as soon as I found somewhere to do this but in the meantime I'd like to get rid of the vodafone stickers on the cover. Is there a good method of doing this without harming the cover? I read something about nail polish remover but can anyone verify this? Or is there a better way? Well, except for changing the cover

I have a reply to the T610 user who has a Simlocked phone. Do not let anybody to illegally open the simlock, it may corrupt your phone and cannot use it anymore. The best way is to contact Vodafone to unlock it.

I am a user of P800 and T610 and want to join P800 users in the Philippines.

@chucken

yeah, nail polish remover will work.

i was thinking in bed last night, if i bought a Vodafone T610 and got it unlocked (legally, of course), then put a T-Mobile sim card in it, all of the stuff that vodafone added to the t610 wouldn't show up, would it?

You'll have to go to a store, they can get the codes needed to unlock, you can even try entering the codes yourself by pressing

I wouldn't advise you to chance though

I truly doubt it or I could be wrong! This is because I unlocked a Nokia 6210 on Orange few months ago in a shop and then inserted a T-Mobile sim onto it and the Orange settings like the welcome note still appears.

The logo's would still be Voda, but if you buy a contract phone on voda surely they come "unlocked" same as contract o2 phones, i always buy Voda or o2 then use my Orange OVP sim in them.

Voda and o2 have started locking phones that are branded. The gd87, t610 and gx10 are locked to voda. Gutted as i want a t610 and can get a cheap upgrade on voda but dont want the branding in the menus they have put on.

I'm getting a bit irritated at the customisation vodafone's added to my SE T610,

1. When i change themes the bottom right button on the desktop is still red in color with the vodafone live! shortcut, this makes the whole theme look silly. I have only tried with the pre-installed themes.

2. The right side button also is a shortcut to vodafone live! It's such a waste and I want to change It's direction

3. The stickers (obviously)

4. The menu icons is predifined and doesn't change apperance when i change themes, i don't know if this is the case with non vodafone T610:s though or perhaps with other than the pre-installed themes.

I'd very much like to hear some solutions or tips concerning this (perhaps not the stickers)

i want to get the t-mobile branded t610... does anyone know, what they still changed beside the t-zones stuff, theme, screensaver, and cover sticker? do they have t-mobile optimised startup and shutdown screens? if yes, is it possible to change it back to the original se startups and shutdowns? i have a t300 now and it only worked with the 13 sec trick...

With regard to the logo's on the front and back of the Vodaphone Handset, the one on the front of my phone starting coming off by it's self at the weekend! I just used my finger nail to get the rest off no-problem and No it didn't scratch the metalic paint!

The one on the back was a little more difficult, but i eventually managed to get that off via the same method!

I now have an unbranded phone, from the outside at least...
