After I installed a SW from Soft&Wireless on my P800, my Opera started to use a very strange font which is definetly not the one I got originally.

Does anybody know how to set a font to be used by Opera for displaying web pages?

If not, I have probably found how to at least set it back, but I need help to achieve this: I found out that I have a file called "cu.grd" in my C:\system\fonts in the P800, and Tracker shows that this file has been modified around the same time when I installed above SW.

As this seems to be the origin of my problem (just a guess), can somebody tell me what files should usually be there in C:\system\fonts?

Is it possible for anybody to send me the file(s)?

PS:
1- I don't have a backup (shame on me!)
2- I wasn't able to uninstall the SW, I always got "in use" as error message
3- I contacted S&W, no reply so far.

wont installing again make me loose all my bookmarks?

if it does then that is not an option at all.

unless i can copy the bokmarks from a particular folder and then copy them back later.

i am sure there must be an easier option.some small tinkering in the font folder or opera folder.

help....again

You could do it the traditional method by writing all ur bookmarks down on a piece of paper , uninstall ur current Opera, then reinstall a 'fresh' version of it.

I finally solved the problem with help of Soft&Wireless good support!!

@ hunkone et al:

"cu.gdr" should not have been the only font file in c:\system\fonts. But as it is the case for me, I chose to just remove it from my file structure- it shouldn't be a problem according to Soft&Wireles, and this is what they siggested and what I succefully performed.

But you can't just remove it, here is the workaround:

1. rename system\fonts to e.g. system\oldfont
(reason: you won't be able to rename or delete cu.gdr as it is being used)

2. restart your P800 while it is NOT(!!) on the charger
(reason: this is the only method to get a full power down/restart of the P800)

3. you already now can check that Opera is working very fine and that it uses its old font.

4. remove cu.gdr, and rename system\oldfont to system\font

@hunkone:

your font file may be another file than cu.gdr, but above steps shoud be applicable to you accordingly.

Thanks to the rest for the suggestions!
