Upgrade to R2F Before First Use |

I have ordered my P800 yesterday, it will reach me by tomorrow. Today, I called the SE service center about what OS is available now - it is R2F.
Should I upgrade my phone to R2F once I got my new phone (before I even turn it on the very first time)? or should I turn it on and personalise it first?
Please advise. |

everything will be erased when you take it to the service center. so unless you wanna see the difference between the version you have and R2F open it. if not then just take it to them and let them do the upgrade |

If you decide that u want to open & personalise it before sending it for a firmware upgrade, remember to do a BACKUP on contacts etc...so that ur p800 doesn't come back with NO apps / personalised stuff left.

I suggest you open it, and play with it for couple of days... and decide wich applications, games & settings you need & like. Then take it to the service ceter for upgrade...
Then reinstall everything...
And one more advice, after you bring it home (after upgrade) make a BACKUP of clean system before installing anything! |

Thanks to everyone here. It is a very good advice. I think, I will play around with it first for couple of days before sending it to upgrade.
Sorry to ask this simple question - How to check the version of the firmware? If it is R2D in this batch of shipment, thats great! |
