Please can someone tell me how to convert mp3 to ogg, I have tried and tried and searched all threads relating to ogg.
I have downloaded the convertor, but still it comes out in mp3 format.
Please can someone give me a step by step guide on how to do it thanks.

it's better in that using the OGG format enables you to store more on your memory stick coz u can get better quality with a smaller filesize than on MP3, and the standard audio player doesnt support OG. However the OGG Player is only in beta stages at the moment and has a few bugs, but is still my player of choice

i would like to offer a little advice...
going from one lossy compression format, to another, you are going to lose even more of the audio quality. if you own (or know people who own) the original cds, you should rip the tracks to ogg directly to avoid poor sounding audio files. i recently started favoring ogg as my lossy compression, but i am not going back and redoing all my old cds, nor will i recompress my mp3s (which is really decompressing, and compressing the wavs to ogg). however for lossless compression i use monkeys audio (.ape).

Agree with bobdobbs. From mp3 to ogg,the quality is very bad with a lot of hiss.
To get the best you must compress wav to ogg
