i noticed that if u type in the first 2 characters of a word, and then running through your combinations it will also offer you a complete word i.e. if u enter el then scroll through the phone will then offer u electricity, elictrical etc. has anybody else noticed this? and does it work for all words in the t9 dictionary? it certainly speeds things up a bit! (r2b but i noticed it on r2a aswell)

I cannot find out how to do that on my t39. According to the revision state you mention, I assume it's on a t68?

hmm i have noticed that before... but couldnt put a finger on exactly how it worked... think i got it now tho... and i think it only works with words you have manually added to t9.. would be cool if it worked on all words tho!

I've noticed that too and yes, it works only for those words you've added manually to the T9 dictionary(candidates?).

when you type in a word which does not preexist in the T9 dic, the phone asks you whether you want to add the new word..and does so..when you click yes at the prompt..the new word is now part of the t9 database and will feature in the list of possible words when you type in the first couple of letters
