Hi,
Having problem with sync of contacts. Using W2k, XTND 4,6, ir. Getting "EPMworkers.exe causing a problem, closing down" or something like that. EPMworker does not exist in task mgr before actual sync takes place, i.e cannot delete before sync as suggested by sonyericsson.

Help!

you have a corrupt contact, f.ex different contact name and same phone nb

make new contact folder and, copy 20 at the time and point to new contact-folder in XTND settings

good luck!

I used to post this tricks before, hope this help.

--------------------------------------------
I'm using Dell Inspiron 4100 running on windowsXP, Other software as follow: OutlookXP, T68 Sync Package from ericsson.
Sync Successful.

Here is the solution, it's work for me and I hope it will work for you guys too.

1. Go to device manager find infrared and reduce the speed to the lowest which is 9.6 in my system.

2.After installed the Sync Package you will notice an additional process was running in the background every time the system boot up.
So to check this go to Windows Task Manager,
Click on the Processes tab, now find a process call EPMWOR~1.exe, once you found it select it and click End Process button.

3. After this process was killed then start outlook to sync.

Hi,

I have tried solutions that are suggested olliver and totonox. Sry guys, but seems that neither is working.

I copied contacts to new folder as suggested but it did not help. I copied one-by-one and when error first appeard I deleted the contact that supposedly had error. At the new sync error appeared again (contact that caused error first time was already missing!). Then I had one successful sync after 3 or 4 unsucessful ones. And then none ever since (and error appears not on the same place every time).

You can kill EPMWOR~1īprocess but it appears again at the same moment you start synchronization (and killing it kills also synchronization.. )

Have win2000 outlook2000 T39m , xtnd connect
i was getting the message too but I noticed it was always when XTND was trying to sync the same record 27/58 of my contact list.
Here is what i did: Deleted all the phone entries from the phome memory and sim.
With a "clean" phone the synch worked fine.
I pumped up the speed of the PS IR port to 4Mbps and the Ericsson IR cable modem to 28.8 kbit/s and I can sync large amounts of data with no problem. I tied this 15 times before posting this. i ll let you know if there is a problem.
