is it really that bad or is it only my p800? i saw the t610's screen shots from a site ,even when viewed from the pc, which looked better than that of p800's.. there's no doubt that the 3650 or 7650's viewfinder and picture viewer is better than the p800, but even t610 is better thn p800??? i've already installed image fix, which i dont think changed anything...

The T610 has 65,536 colours, the P800 only has 4,096 so theoretically the T610 will look a lot sharper, comparable to the Sharp GX-10 on the Vodafone Live! adverts.

I think the P800 should have went with a 65k screen, but cost must have been an implication.

**Update** I meant to mention, the fact that the P800 has an inferior colour depth to the T610 does not mean the actual photos will be detremented. 2 identical photos on the T610 and the P800 should look the same when transferred onto a PC or when printed.

I've had the 7650, and I don't think the viewfinder on that is better than on my P800.

You seem to be getting confused between the camera resolution and the screen resolution.

The max camera resolution on the P800 is 640 x 480 with 16 million colors (24 bit).

The T610 camera has the exact same stats.

The P800 screen resolution is 208 x 320 with 4,096 colours.

The T610 screen resolution is 128 x 160 but with 65,536 colours.

When looking at the two phones side by side, the T610 will look a lot sharper, but the images taken on each phones camera will in theory be identical.

Dont forget that the P800 has a touchscreen. This is why the pictures look better on other phones but on a computer screen they all look the same.

Oh and the reason why the P800 doesnt have a 65k screen is because it would drain the battery REAL fast !

It's not really touchscreen related.

It's down to the colour depth.

The P800s gradients/blending don't look as good.

Still more than adequate though in my opinion

Soz mate you might be right about that.

I thought that was just a rumour, but it does ring a bell.

Checked the SE site, but no mention of cam resolution.

Seems a bit daft to reduce the resolution so much.

can any one put up resolutions for this phone.

the T610 has an absurdly high number of displayble colours and the P800 looks very good to me in comparison wiht a 7650 but i have never seen a T610 so i cant comment on that

Having your parcel marked as a gift will do nothing to help it clear customs easier if its valued over £36.

All marking a package as "gift" will do is double the import allowance. As the standard allowance is £18 (as long as your goods are marked as being valued below this amount you wont be charged import tax), marking as a gift will give you a £36 allowance. As the 128MB sticks are worth more than that, its just pot luck if customs check your package and charge you import tax.
