Anyone else have trouble installing and using the MA-620 Infrared port with XP? Here's my situation:
1. There does not appear to be a digital signature for XP on any driver for this port. Even using the most recent driver, updated a few weeks ago on their website, gives the same caution message that using a non-digital-signatured driver can mess up the system.
2. I ignored the warning.
3. The device appears to do what it is supposed to do. It senses when my T300 is there, or when my palm is there. I can upload or download.
4. Am i going to have a problem in the future, or is this safe?
5. Any one know of a driver with digital signature for XP that works on this device?
6. Now another quirky problem.... Using the T300 support program from the same CD as the driver (midi tones, addresses, logos, etc.)....
It is EXTREMELY SLOW to exit. Takes over a minute, during which I cannot load another application. What is going on here? Is it just a nuisance or is it the start of the dreaded trouble XP warns about when installing the non-signatured driver? Thank you for your help. |
