Get Handyday (and possibly Tracker, not sure though), it's a really useful application in it's own right, but it has a lock feature that lets you lock the screen.

have a look on Handango, or my-symbian

Does anyone know of any other screen lock application. I don't actually need HandyDay or Tracker. I just need the screenlock feature.

In virtual flip mode, press the top right button on the keypad and then the '1' button.

indeed.. we need a good screenlock program that you couldn't acidentally unlock, like tracker's.. possibly use power button to lock/unlock.... hmm wonder how hard it'd be to write :-)

Yeah, I used the virtual flip screen lock for a while, but I dont like it. If I want'ed a keypad I might as well put back the flip
I have tested both Tracker and HandyDay's screen lock. HandyDay is best, because I can still see the todayview and the clock. That way I don't have to unlock the phone to get that information.

I use the p800 without the flip and have had the same trouble with the key lock function. I have HandyDay which is ideal for summarising the tasks/calandar entries but the key lock is not very good. It does not disable the touch screen on lock so the backlight and key click are active in my pocket.

So until something else comes alone I have to use the virtual flip.
