My E/// service center, here in Paris, just called me to let me know there is a new T68 "OA" version on EMMA 2, he's just dowloaded it.
No idea of what it is.
I go to the store now, I try to upgrade my T68 and I tell you more about it.

Sounds interresting anyway...but I recal a discussion the other day when somebody discovered new files on EMMA II but they could not be selected when trying to update the phone..

The new software don't seem to be out in a couple of mouths... accordning to a discussion with someone at ericsson at a swedish site! (spring-summer) |

I am not so sure he understod the question correctly..since the new software will be identical with the software for the t68i I guess they already have the software...or will the t68i wait until spring/summer?
Not sure what position this guy has within SE..may be on a more general than detailed level...
well it is clearly back to wait and see..and hope for some good news from Paris instead... |

Hello again, I just come back from my E/// service center, and bad news, this new T68 OA doesn't work with my T68m. This version exists on EMMA II sever, it's a R2A (1st march 2002), but when I connect my T68m, it is not proposed for flashing.
Someone on EMMA II user's forum explains that this T68 OE is an MMS testsoftware, IMEI specific, so it's not available for flashing for "normal" T68's.
Sorry again for this false alert.

I tried to access the "telecenter" page last night during work. Are you able to do it now? A small "light of hope" was litten though when the "server error" mess appeared, they might be transfering the SW to EMMA2 and thats why I could check which version is the latest. But I keeped getting the same mess. all night
Just thoughts about EMMA2 I dont know if they were transfering new SW, just a thought!

Sorry to say but I think the list at Skanska is not "online". I am pretty sure they edit the list with a simple editor when ever they see the new software at the server. I have a feeling though that they are waiting as much after the new software as we are and that they will post the new revision promtly at the list..
There is apparently a MMS software available at the EMMA II server but it will only load onto phones already programed with the trail sw...
Still think we should see the new sw released soon...I hope I am not wrong... |
