I still haven't been able to connect my T68i via bluetooth despite many installs, reboots, panic attacks etc.

I can pair the phone No probs, send from the phone to PC no problem just nothing but pairing from the PC from the phone.

I read that Mobile agent can connect alone to the phone.

I have filled in the options with the bluetooth address ect but when I try to connect I get the message

Error. 10047 in funtion connect (socket) Address family not supported by protocol family.

Anybody any ideas on how to solve this family feud..???

Cheers

It seems like a bluettooth config problem rather than fma's. Check your BT settings

Do you mean check them in Bluetooth Places....( I have the Widcomm software).

I have checked and tried to change anything I can change for the pst two weeks now. Nothing seems to help me connect the PC to the phone..

PAton,

Have you got "mobile phone manager" installed?
Check in your control panel of your PC and double click it and make sure all the settings (ie serial port allocation) are correct.
Hope this helps a little.

Use serial connection instead of the bluetooth function in the settings of FMA.

The Bluetooth FMA does not support all BT dongles.

I have an Acer BT dongle and use serial port 1 to connect FMA via BT to the phone.

I have tried using a serial connection on FMA, I have tried every port that I can and also tried several different Baud Rates. Alas..Still no luck.

Also. Yes I do have MPM installed. I have anabled all com ports but it wont see my phone at all.

Does anyone have any more ideas.?

Official reply from sony ercisson regarding all those BT transfer problems is:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.

The ability to do this relies on the Bluetooth software on your PC being able to receive files via a Serial Port Service. Please refer to the manufacturer as to whether this is possible.

Wow... thanks thats very enlightening... not.

the basic install of FMA should work right away, no need for changing anything (at least not with my T610)
don't use the native Bluetooth setting, unless you have what it requires!!!
i simply use the serial port, which is the exact same setting as my 'normal' bluetooth enviroment browser, in my case that is serial port 9, baudrate 115200 (standard setting), rts enabled, dtr disabled.

everything connects, and works just fine..

@gensei mobile phone manager, doesn't need to be used to connect
FMA with your phone

There are 2 BT settings on your PC. 1 is the local service settings. This refer to the comms setting of your PC. The other is the client settings. It's the comms setting that your device will use to communicate with your PC.

You need to find out what is your client comms number. It's different for different PC. When you find out the comms number, in fMA, select this serial comms number.

Try to make sure all other software or drivers are not active as they meant use the comms, thus fMA may not be able to communicat with it.

Start fMA in debug mode. If you still have problem, the list in the debug will be helpful as you can post it in the following forum.

Hope it helps.

Do you have service pack 1 for windows XP installed? Direct Bluetooth connections are only in this release. And try disabling all posts in MBM before connecting

Well it's not their dongle nor their software so it is an excellent reply from SE as it recommends to see if the dongle has the Serial Port Service, better than that they can't do

actually it's very simpel, if you can make sure that you can connect through the bluetooth enviroment browser
that was installed with the bluetooth adapter on your computer, then you should have no problem with FMA.
make sure you have a serial connection activated in the BT adapter settings software.
(litle blue icon in taskbar tray, rightclick, services, serial bluetooth connection, add device)
once a serial connection is active, just set FMA to the same serial port, voila
