Quick question that I should have asked when I was a newbie. I just want to get a clear idea of what is backed up onto your PC. If I do a full back up of phone and MS then trash the p800, delete all the calendar entries, format MS and do a master reset etc. Then if I restore the backup will everything come back exactly the way it was before? down the the folders, settings, screen saver, sms messages, calendar entries, app installed etc.

Have people tried this and its worked OK (i am sure loads have)? Do you lose any settings at all or is the backup a true copy or everything in the phone at the time of backup.

Thanks Guys

I recently completely smashed my screen (doh!), got a new one on the insurance and thanked my lucky stars everything was backed up.

Got the new phone, synched everything with the backup, and it all appeared again like it was my old phone. So I'd say you can rely in it

but I would do a full backup and restore first before you rely on it to make sure.

There have been cases with the early sync software where it fails to restore.
