i believe carphone warehouse service centre in leicester can upgrade p800's has anyone done this and what was the service like?? they sounded ok on the phone to me but never having used them before its nice to get an opinion from someone who has dealt with them. thanks for any info. they seem to want to keep the phone for at least one if not two nights is this normal. ps or would i be better going to cws (?? - or something like that) in sandiacre nottingham. thanks for any advice. |

A day or two is standard as they usually have a backlog. Upgrade should be fine but not all CPW service centres are doing it.
Beware - back everything up because the handset will be factory reset when the upgrade is done.

thanks dave. i guess i will just have to live without it for a day or two. i was used to a quick over the counter service for my nokia in the centre of nottingham - guess i was spoiled! |

when I got my t68 upgraded to t68i fw they had it about 2 hours - I just wanderred into the pub next door and hustled some of the locals at pool...
won £85, came out fairly p*ssed up and had a new phone to play with.
Marvelous.

roy, the name of the service centre in sandiacre is crc (communications repair centre) uk ltd.
they don't make them like they used to |
