Does anyone know how to change the default My P800 desktop icon in Windows XP? I've tried every which way, including through Microangelo, but nothing works

Sure, here it goes but do this at your own peril and only if you are confident using Registry Editor in XP.
From the Start button in XP go to Run and then type in regedit, this will start the Registry Editor, find the following:
My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{fc181130-05a0-11d6-8140-000102e745a6}\DefaultIcon (the registry entry should be the same as the one above, if not then search the registry for My P800 - or whatever the P800 prog is called on the desktop - and then open the DefaultIcon folder) in this folder is the following line:
c:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Mobile\auexpext.dll,6 - the actual path might be different, it depends on where you installed the application. The important bit is auexpext.dll - this is the file the icon comes from - and the number 6 - that is the position of the icon in the dll - like I said you really need to know what you're doing. Basically replace the entire line with a path and icon of your choice, or the path to a library containing icons and the position of the icon you want.

WARNING: YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK - IT DOES WORK - BUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!

Make a copy of the registry first or make a restore point if you have system restore enabled before you go changing things
