I'm not sure if this is possible, but can you get a USB bluetooth dongle, and a bluetooth headset and use the headset as a mic for you computer? I'm guessing it would be useful in playing online games (no more cabled headsets!) and also for voice chatting. Any ideas?
thanks

Yes it can... as long as your BT plug has the Headset profile (this usually means you also have the Audio Gateway profile as well) ...

The Headset profile allows you to use your BT headset as your PC's mic and mono speaker.

The Audio Gateway profile allows you to use your PC as a handsfree speakerphone for your BT enabled mobile phone.

Check out the audio howtos at:

Always ask for a receipt if a SE service point opens your T68i to remove dust, otherwise your warranty expires!! Happened to me.

I gave details... but afaik, 3com bluetooth products don't support the headset or audio gateway profiles.

Hi everyone,

regarding the topic, I myself have been using a BT headset with my laptop for a while.........

I got a USB bluetooth adaptor and a BT headset and paired them (of course after installing the adaptor on the laptop).

To be honest I don't know much about the audio gateway....I suppose it's in any pc........

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
