MMS - More Money to the operatorS...
Check out the pressrelease by the Norwegian operator Telenor http://press.telenor.com/PR/200203/851888_5.html
They will charge 10 NOK from 1.st of May, or approx. 1,2 euro for every sent MMS!!!! That is just really crappy!!!! What are they thinking??? Who wants to send a MMS for 10 NOK when you can send a regular SMS for 1 NOK?? The operators will make the MMS die, because no1 will use this new format... The Norwegian operators really sucks!! Don't care that they are one of the first in the world to provide MMS, as long as they will rip off every customer that wants to send MMS... What do you think?
This really stinks!!!

I know, but that is a mix on Swedish, English, Norwegian and so on... So I thought just to summarize all this in English and continue the discussion here OK?

It is the same price as here in Norway. MMS will die if they are going to take 1.2 euros for 1 MMS!

Let's just hope that they will reduce the price after the introductionperiod... Not likely though... This is not good! |

If they want it to be as popular as SMS they'll have to reduece the price to something that is competitive wih SMS or wlse nobody will use it....much. They're only shooting themselves in the foot. It'll be like anything, after it's first released everybody will use it until they see their first bill. |

I usually send approx 100 SMS pr. month. Say if I send half of that as MMS (50...), with a price of 1,2 euros pr/MMS, that will be 60 euros per/month... Or about 480 NOK!!! Really sucks! Who wants to pay that for some crappy MMS anyway... The operators are really messing this up I think! |

Just read on ITavisen in Norway, that one of the other operator, NetCom will take something like Telenor, that means around 10 kr, or 1,2 euros...
