Hello,

When the first call comes in I get the proper ringtone, but if a second call comes in while I am engaged on the first call, with call waiting enabled, the second caller's name and number flash on the screen but there is absolutely NO sound whatever.

This is fine if I am using the headset and looking at the screen at the time, but there is no way I would know if the second call comes in if I have the phone to my ear at the time.

Is there a way to force the second caller to come in with a ringtone? My other phone Sony Ericsson T68i gives a beep or two when a second call comes in.

thanks,

I absolutely agree with you in that a beep should emit when a second call comes in, but it does not.

Can anyone else shed some light here?

have no fear, walrus is ere ! lol the gd87 doesnt adds when a second call comes in, it will just vibrate if u have it activated for that profile. that way its discreet and doesnt put u ur conversation-or so i was told by a panasonic engineer where i work!

thank you both for your input. i am not aware of different profiles on the phone? i thought the virbration alert applies to everyone? meaning anyone calls, first or second caller, would vibrate, correct?

please explain what you mean by profile? sorry for being densed.

thank you in advance,

by the way, i just turn on vibration mode on and quite mode to vibrate as well. then i call from phone1, put on the hold, then call from phone2...i see phone2 flashing on GD87, but it does not virbate.

am i missing something here. would you show me how to enable vibration, assuming i did not do it right.

It's not profiles, There's an option Personalise - Vibration Alerts.

mhorton,
i did set the vibratin alerts to both 'intermittent' and 'continuous' but it still does not vibrate when a second call comes in. any other suggestions?
