I have some problems with the Bluetooth connection(pc-t68i). I did all the things I have done on my last PC and my PC can see the phone but MPM can't. I used to use the old image editor for it MPM to recognize my phone (if you try to send a pic from image e. it adds your phone automaticly to MPM.)
The problem is the new image editor doesn't even try to connect using BT (tested on the last day of my other PC). YOu have to have another program using BT for image e. to recognize your phone.
Can someone please give me the old image e. or tell me how to add the phone to MPM list...
THX...

Hello
Let me share with u with my experiences with my T68i, BT Dongle and bluettoth at all
I've istalled and removed BT drivers and soft for many times last week from my PC. The result after installation was allways the same: My PC detected the phone but MPM didn't. I could make GPRS connection, but I couldn't synchronize, send pics and MMS from my PC. I was desperated and wanted to reinstall Windows to upgrade it to 2000 or XP (now and still using Win98SE).
And some day it happens!!!
Somewhere I red that I have to check if in my Windows :
1. Internet routing is istalled or enabled
2. Dial-up networking is installed or enabled
3. Telephony is installed or enabled
4. ... i hope i did not forget anything ...
and then
1. Install the driver software that comes with BT Dongle (i have XTND Blue Monitor)
2. Install MPM (ver. 2.0)
3. Install Sony Ericsson Communication Suite and other SE software you want (pictures or MMS)
http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?template=SP1_17_1&B=ie&PID=9932&FID=3704&LM=SD_V&FileCatID=4&MN=Synchronization&Noredir=1
4. After rebooting you have launch XTND Blue Monitor to pair phone and PC. I think it is better to trust the devices. The information about trusting is included in the XTND's help.
5. Launch MPM and you can see the additional COM ports used for BT communication. Enable only COM3 (BT serial) and mark it as reserved. The other ports leave disabled and unreserved. For your convenience set the MPM icon to appear all the time. It will help you to recognize if the phone is connected to PC and if MPM recognized it. All the help information is included in MPM help. Close the MPM.
6. In your phone menu click (sorry this time - I have the Polish menu, so my translations may be not accurate, but I think the structure of menu is the same): 6 - Communications => 3. Bluetooth => 3. Detect. The phone should detect the PC and make the connection with it. When asked for a passkey you can type e.g. 0000 or 1111, and the the same on PC. After that, probably you have to confirm some parameters by clicking yes. The phone will inform you that the connection was succesfull.
7. Now the PC and MPM should detect the phone.
8. After detection and confirmation of SIM name and phone name you can start with image editor or MMS editor. Just launch it. The MPM icon should indicate (after about 20 sec) that the phone is detected (on my PC it is the blue "V" in the MPM icon).
And that all.
The world would be very dull with any problems. The one problem remained: I can still send pictures to my phone.
It is strange, because MPM detects the phone. In the image editor help is written, that when no phone is detected, the download icon is greyed. But, my phone is detected, the icon is NOT GREYED, and I still canot send the pictures.
Anyone has any idea?

You need Widcomm 1.2.2.16 or later to be able to send pictures from the phone to the PC. |
