Comparison of Nokia 3650 and T610 |

I had a long play with the 3650 and was thoroughly impressed! It's not crippled like the other Nokias (7250 can't send or receive files between phones or PC, without software). In fact, I transferred pictures between the 3650 and my T68i using both Infrared and Bluetooth. Worked wonderfully!
So I'm now torn between this phone and the T610 (as they are a similar price). I would like to know why one phone is better than the other:
3650 Pros (OVER the T610)
Bigger screen (is it TFT??).
Symbian, customisable software.
Video camera.
Changeable covers.
More (upgradable) memory.
T610 Pros (over the 3650)
Smaller and lighter.
65k colour screen.
Better standby.
Louder and better polyphonics.
Standard keyboard.
Is there anything obviously lacking in either phone??
My thoughts so far are that the 3650 is a great phone, but it's big, uglyish, only lasts a couple of days, and the ringing tones are weak as anything! It just feels very robust, although I couldn't use it to text much.
Thanks for your help. Chris. |

It just depends on what's ur needs
for eg the 3650 while it look uglish and simply stuck with a user-unfriendly keypad, it runs on the symbian 60 which at the moment has very very rich amount of applications available
if u are someone who likes fun: capturing video with audio, use your handphone as your TV/VCD/DVD remote controller. use your phone to listen to mp3, use it watch mtv on the realone player,or for better gamings than the standard J2ME or Mophun games available, better resolution pic VGA 640x480 pics, just go for the 3650
if u are a person who just need a basic phone with camera function with lower resolution 352x288, and prefer a better looking ,sleeker phone, go for the T610
The screen of the 3650 is 4,096 TFT whereas in T610 is 65k STN screen, not much of a difference i can see
just dun compare both the T610 and 3650, feature wise the 3650 wins hands down due to it being a symbian phone, it just depends whether u need all those features |

I am torn between these phones too.The 3650 is better but it is big.Trust me it is not as big in real life but it is still big.It is the same height as the 6310. |

Yes, the phone comparison is good...
But it doesn't beat good old hands-on experience and opinions. |

Hmm.. AFAIK the 3650 has the same screen as the 7650.. and that would be a 4096 STN colour screen, not TFT. |

3650 for symbian is much better than the t610 software.
if you don't have something nice to say, don't say something nice. FUEHRER MEANS "LEADER" IN GERMAN STUPID. |

i was faced with waiting for t610 or getting 3650. i am now using a 3650.
i just couldn't stand having 2mb of space, plus everything being in RAW format so that it took up even more space. and no expanable memory, no VGA, just swayed me away from t610.
i am AMAZED with 3650, for the first time i am content with my phone and don't want anything else. for now, it is perfect. the screen is great, camera is good, symbian OS is the best, MMC cards are nice and cheaper (much cheaper than memory stick DUO's), i could go on forever.
but in the end it is all about preference. i admit the 3650 is kinda ugly. it still fits in all my pockets, but it is fairly large. the keypad is also something i would change. my friends used to make fun of it, saying i was a loser for spending $300 for a "chick-phone" until i showed them the pictures it took, the videos it recorded, the Ali G and simpsons episodes i watch on it, the HTML pages i browse on it, and the TV's/VCRs/receivers i can control with it.
i REALLY like this phone and think it is for me. a p800 is better no doubt, but not for me. i would not be very careful with it and the screen would prolly break. even if it didn't i'd be scared it would, and would be shied away from using a phone i would like so much and spend so much money on. that is not the point, to be afraid to use it. i can honestly say that (until the SX1 comes out) the Nokia 3650 is THE phone for me. |

Hmm... I'm quite sure the 7650/3650 has a STN screen and not a TFT screen. The colours aren't vivid enough for a TFT screen, not that it matters that much. It's quite a good screen anyway.

Why is it SO hard to believe that both 7650 and 3650 has TFT screen, not STN. |
