I have just spooken to Next Communications in Southamton, Hampshire
They have the latest firmware, and will carryout the upgrade FOC even if its an orange phone, and not bought from them!
they want the handset for 24hrs
anyone else used Next? |

Nope, but if they say so then that seems fair enough. I guess they need it for 24 hours in case they get a few phone in at once as it only take a couple of hours apparantly.
My local CPW still won't do it yet. Anyone in BUCKS UK got their phone upgraded locally? |

I live in Essex and SE say the nearest is SE10 london which will take for ever. Does anybody know of somewhere that will do it in the essex/kent area without having to go in to london.

searley - yeah Next did mine for me last week, no questions asked. I've used them b4 for my T68i too and confirm that they're reliable m8. Can even give u directions if u want!

Can I ask you what is the latest firmware they sayed to you. I got the R1D upgrated to R2D is there any newer one.

the latest available firmware is r2f (phone), r5a (BT), r2b03 (organiser) and r1j01 (cda)
the upgrade takes about 1 hour (not including the backup and restore) |
