Dear all,
I'm using my mobile phone now (T39m) to dialup back to my office network from my notebook (WinXP Pro) when I'm on the road. Works great, but costs alot. My company allow for callback feature for our use and cost management.

I tried to use my T39 with callback but the phone always disconnects after sending the callback information.

Can someone kindly point me to the right direction please about this?

Many thanks to any help.

Your,
Elana.

i believe you have to ask your SP about their data account network service.

or you can try GPRS instead, if it's already offered by your SP

yiassas,
you might need a separate data-nb (check with supplier), call-back worked for me with nokia 6210, haven't tried with T68 yet but will when I got the bloody thing to sync with my outlook.

I'm not sure if I got you right but the phone should disconnect after it has sent the callback info to the server. The server shall then call your phone back which eventually shall answer by it self and start to comunicate with your server. Normally the phone shall answer by it self but if you have the same phone no. for data calls as for phone calls your t39 will not be able to feel the difference between a voice call and a data call and therefor disconnect. The solution on that problem is to, before you call up your server, click meny/call info - yes/next call - yes/next incomming - yes/data - yes and then go back to the main screen. Call up your mail server and hope for the best.
Good luck

@elena,

are you using Ir to connect to your t39? if you do, windows xp does not support incoming call via Ir (hence callback does not work). use a serial cable instead.
