Hiya
I am having problems connectying my T68i to my PC using bluetooth. I am using a Widcomm driven adapter on a Win98 SE machine connected straight to the USB port, not via a hub.

I have paired the phone to the PC OK. I can pair from the phone to PC, or from the PC to phone, so I assume the BTD is working OK in both directions.

I can send pictures, ringtones etc from the phone to the PC no problems but cannot for the life of me send anything back.

If I try to connect the phone to the PC it works for about a second then the PC disconnects. (It reports that the phone has tried to connect using a Headset device if that is any help)

I have the Ericsson Comms Suite R4A installed and when I try to find the phone it can't.

If I try to Sync to the phone using XNDConnect it can't find the phone either.

The Bluetooth software says I have serial ports 4 and 5 so I have enabled both (In fact I have treid to enable them all to no avail)

I have been trying to get this working for over a week now, I have reinstalled all software in different orders to see if that will work, alas...Not.

Does anyone haveany suggestions, or idea on any setting I may have to change on the PC or phone....I am getting desperate now, it is nearly reaching the change the phone with a big hammer stage...

I have read through the forum and tried most other suggestions I could find. When they say "Click on this and it will detect your phone" etc....it doesn't...

Thanks...(hopefully)

IAn

Ian

I had similar probs to you , right from the start i could send phone to pc but not the other way.
Then i tried start/settings/phone monitor and set com port 3 to enable, now everything seems fine.
Also make sure your phone is on receive, i'm no expert at all but it works for me now.

Thanks Darren, but again, it didn't work...

I have tried enabling all the com ports (Although My BT Devices shows only 4 and 5 are beigng used)

When I go to phone settings, even that can't find my phone. It seems that all I can do is pair the phone no problems, and send anything Phone to PC but nothing the other way around.

I know this may sound daft, but I am starting to wonder if the newer Ericsson's have some kind of firewall preventing access from the PC.

Anybody else got any suggestions..?
