Bluetooth + JAVA = great idea |

Imagine this:
A JAVA app for your bluetooth enabled mobile that "broadcasts" your stats and scans for compatible people. When found the phone will buzz you and ask if you want to initiate a conversation.
It could keep info like
Age, gay/straight, single/married, hate/like star trek, etc.,
and you could program it only to alert you when there was someone else that matched your criteria.
There have been gadgets sold like this, but I think that the mobile phone is ubiquitous enough that it might catch on!
Java will enable little programs like this to be downloaded. It's the future! |

Thats a good idea, now if you also have a voice conversation with devices in the 50m (possible) range using bluetooth i would save allot of money! :-o

Well once the p800 comes out that will be possibile since it will have MIDlets support java and bluetooth, just now java programmers let's put developing in 5th gear and roll to what this lad suggested

This would come handy in offices or in trains where there are tons of people packed in the tube or whatever way you use to transport yourself
